Hotel Benalmádena Palace

It was my great pleasure at the weekend to spend two nights in Hotel Benalmádena Palace, located in the town of Benalmádena on Spain’s Costa del Sol.

This hotel is a firm family favourite and the weekend’s was our fourth visit.

Joe (10) and Maggie (8) have a whale of a time during the day in the hotel’s Kids’ Club, which is open all year. And if they are not to be found playing there, then they will be splashing around in the indoor pool, or in the jacuzzi. Or giggling in the steam room, or timing how long they can last in the sauna.

Later on there is a mini disco for kids which is always followed by entertainment of some kind. We were treated to flamenco ballet (a new concept for me, that) and a reptile show which inevitably featured a giant python.

The facilities and laid-on fun are great for my two children. Just right. This Dad couldn’t ask for more.

There is one further thing I would like to add: bar none, the staff at Hotel Benalmádena Palace were excellent; always friendly, always helpful. I reserve particular thanks for Patrice, one of the ‘animadores’ (entertainers). What a lovely guy!
